Power yoga, conditioning
Time table
Wednesday
10:00 AM — 11:00 AM

Power yoga is the hardest hour here, and Ava teaches it without any of the theatre that usually comes with that. Long standing sequences, few resets, honest core work and a close that is as long as the effort deserves.
A brisk but complete warm-up.
Standing sequences held for eight to ten breaths.
Plank and forearm work in short sets.

You will sweat, your legs will shake and there will be a point around minute thirty-five where you would rather stop. Resting there is entirely acceptable and Ava says so at the start of every class; the practice is in choosing rest deliberately rather than collapsing into it.
The class is not fast. Difficulty comes from staying in strong shapes rather than rushing between them, which is safer for joints and considerably more effective.
Real strength work
Sustained standing sequences, held rather than rushed.
Strength, not speed
The hard part is staying, not moving faster.
A proper rest
The class finishes on the floor, and it is not optional.
Not a first class. Come with a regular practice behind you, a towel and plenty of water.

Georgia Renwick
This is the only class I have taken where the difficulty is honest about itself. Ava does not pretend it is gentle and does not make it competitive either. My legs know the difference.

No. Every class is taught with options rather than expectations, and our Fundamentals and Gentle sessions assume no prior practice at all. Tell your teacher it’s your first time and they will look after you.
Comfortable clothes and a water bottle. Mats, blocks, straps and bolsters are all provided, and there are showers and lockers in the changing rooms.
Yes. Drop-in classes and pay-as-you-go class packs sit alongside our memberships, so you can practise as often or as rarely as suits you.
Fifteen minutes before your first class, and around five for every class after that. It gives you time to check in, settle and set up your mat without rushing.
Pause or cancel anytime with 30 days notice. There are no joining fees and no lock-in contracts, and any unused class credits stay on your account.
We do. Several of our teachers are qualified in pre and postnatal practice and in therapeutic yoga. Let us know before class so your teacher can adapt the session for you.
